LAUD 381 Conservation Planning and Design

This course aims to introduce the students with urban and archaeological conservation as well as renewal planning and policy issues. Principles of conservation are focused and urban design examples in urban historic sites both in Turkey and abroad are studied. Within this context, legal and institutional framework of urban and archaeological site conservation, governmental policies, sustainable conservation policies, survey and planning methods and materials will be dealt with.
